1. General information
The objectives of the subject are:
a) Contribute to the integral training of students by complementing their theoretical and practical learning.
b) Facilitate the knowledge of the work methodology appropriate to the professional reality.
c) Favour the development of technical, methodological, personal and participatory skills.
d) Obtain practical experience that facilitates insertion into the labour market and improves the students future employability.
e) Promote the values of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with some Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda of United Nations ( https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), so that the acquisition of learning results of the subject will contribute to some extent to the achievement of goals 3, 4, 9 and 12.

3. Syllabus
Due to the peculiar characteristics of this subject, it does not have an associated program.
4. Academic activities
The learning process designed for this subject is based on:
- The completion of a stay of at least 135 hours in the collaborating entity performing the functions assigned to the student.
- The realization of the tutorials that are considered appropriate with the company tutor or with the academic tutor in a continuous and individualized way, for orientation and follow-up of the activities .
-The preparation of a report of activities that will be delivered to the tutor teacher in writing at least 15 days before the date of the date of delivery of the records.
5. Assessment system
Test 1. Evaluation of the activity developed. This evaluation will be carried out by the tutor of the collaborating entity at the end of the internship, completing a student evaluation report that will represent 60% of the student's overall grade in the subject. A minimum of 5 out of 10 points is required.
Test 2. Presentation of the activities report. The student will present to the tutor Teacher a final written report of activities at the end of the internship, in which the following sections must be included:
- Table of contents.
- The student's personal data: last name, first name, ID number, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
- The data of the collaborating entity: name, address, tutor at the company, telephone and e-mail and number of hours completed in the External Internship.
- Abstract in English and Spanish (300 words) (up to 1 point)
- Description of the proposed objectives (up to 1 point).
- Specific and detailed description of the tasks, work performed and departments of the entity to which they has been assigned (up to 6 points)
- Assessment of the tasks performed with the knowledge and skills acquired in relation to the university studies (up to 1 point)
- Evaluation of the internship and suggestions for improvement (up to 0.5 points).
- Bibliography consulted (up to 0.5 points).
The full report should have a minimum of 15 pages and a maximum of 25 pages (times 12, 1.5 spacing).
The teacher's grade will account for 40% of the student's overall grade in the subject. A minimum of 5 out of 10 points is required.
The mention of “Honours" will be awarded to students who have obtained a grade higher than 9.0.
The teacher who considers that the tutored student deserves a “Honours” grade, must submit a reasoned report by REGTEL at the secretary's office of the centre one week before the delivery of the Minutes, a model of which can be downloaded at https://veterinaria.unizar.es/academico/practicas-externas-grado-cta, stating the reasons for the proposal.
In addition, the proposed students must prepare a presentation to be presented orally to the coordinator of the subject and of the degree for its evaluation before awarding the mention. This presentation must be made before the date of delivery of Minutes.
